About J.

From what I can tell
woven between spaces
is a Mystery
that refuses to be named -

Our hearts never remaining
permanently cracked
but instead growing blossoms
on a fault line

Jennifer Magnano (J.) is a soft place to land for our mothering, caregiving, and grief-full bodies. Known in her community as a spiritual midwife, grief and bereavement doula, and memoirist, she is the author of children's book Bliss & Blue and Becoming Land - a weekly publication dedicated to the holy, wild work of soul tending. Jennifer's extensive training and certifications center mental wellness and spiritual health. Some of these include PSI's perinatal mental health training, Holy Yoga's accessible yoga program, integrative life coaching, and Ayurvedic postpartum and grief/bereavement care, complemented by a Bachelors in healthcare administration and the completion of a Twelve Step program. Shaped by back-to-back chapters in emergency and specialty veterinary medicine and birth work — where compassion fatigue is prevalent — she has lingered in places and spaces in support of caregiving and companioning bodies for over two decades.

Holding radical love as a core value in her life and work, Jennifer is dedicated to cultivating a better world than the one we know today. A world in which our mothering, caregiving and grief-full bodies are cared for in such a way that it impacts generations. As Mother Teresa would say, love ripples out.

Highly attuned to the heart of post-traumatic wellness and growth, Jennifer’s expansion into the most joyful version of herself has come through a commitment to herself, her beautiful family and their small patch of Hohokam-O’odham (Arizona) desert land. She continues to uplevel her life through community care, deep rest, an immersion in the healing arts, contemplation, somatics, a relationship with art and nature, boundary work, plant and animal medicines, and an exploration of spirituality and religion. In her spare time, Jennifer can be found enjoying rest, gardening, cooking, painting, snuggling her dogs and chickens, practicing the drum, and growing her home library. She is presently in her final semester exploring The Art of Spiritual Direction with Unity Worldwide Ministries.
